Precious Moments Partners with Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals
Over the past three decades, Precious Moments products have raised millions of dollars for worthwhile organizations helping children. Beginning in 2012, Precious Moments, Inc. is a national partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – a charity that raises funds and awareness for 170 North American children’s hospitals that treat more than 17 million patients each year.
To launch its participation PMI has developed a Precious Moments figurine and two hanging ornaments that will generate a donation of 5-percent of the suggested retail price for every piece sold. The unique aspect of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is that money raised locally, remains for use by the local children’s hospital.

What began in 1983 with a televised fundraiser in a small studio, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has grown to one of North America’s leading children’s charities. Since its humble beginnings, CMN has raised more than $4.3 billion – most of it a dollar or two at a time.
The founding mission of CMN Hospitals was based on two simple goals:
Help as many children as possible by raising funds for children’s hospitals.
Keep funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children.
The symbol of CMN Hospitals is a red and yellow hot air balloon – often seen in local stores as customers make a donation and a “Miracle Balloon” with the donor’s name is posted on the wall. To see a wall covered with these paper Balloon icons is evidence of the organization’s community impact.
In keeping with this familiar symbol, each of the three Precious Moments pieces portrays the teardrop-eyed child holding three colored balloons. Inspirationally titled, You Are A Miracle, there are two ornaments – a boy and a girl – and the figurine is the same little girl. Ornaments are 4.0-in. high and have a suggested retail price of $25 each when they arrive in stores in mid-June; the figurine is 6.5-in. high, and will be delivered in mid-February with a suggested retail price of $45.
